The world’s most famous soccer tournament is coming to 11 U.S. cities in June and July 2026. If you’re coming to watch a match or two, here’s your guide to what to explore beyond the fanfare at each stadium. If you can’t make it for the big tournament, these cities are worth adding to any U.S. vacation itinerary.

Dallas, Texas

The many attractions of Dallas, Texas, include family fun at the Perot Museum of Nature & Science, Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden and Dallas Children’s Theater. Looking for a hipper scene? Knox Street, Deep Ellum and Henderson Avenue are dining and nightlife districts. This international hub is also a hot spot for major sports, concerts and events including the can’t-miss State Fair of Texas.

Houston, Texas

The largest city in Texas, Houston is a sports enthusiast’s paradise. If you’re in town to catch some soccer, get in on the action yourself at Pitch 25, a behemoth restaurant and bar with dozens of televisions and an actual soccer field inside. Another excellent place to watch the games is at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, the oldest craft brewery in Texas.
