Hotels & Vacation Rentals
The USA’s hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals
Hotels and other formal lodging options offer many amenities and services to make yours an easy and hassle-free holiday.
Hotels & Resorts
The USA is home to some of the top hotel brands in the world. These hotels can enhance your travel experience and demonstrate USA hospitality. Hotels range from basic rooms to lavish suites. Hotel rooms include private bathrooms, cable TV, in-room phones, heating and air-conditioning. Some have minibars, hair dryers, fitness centers, swimming pools and even breakfast. Most luxury properties also offer spas, bars, restaurants, business centers and concierge services to make your stay even more pleasant.
Vacation Rentals
Many vacation homes, condos and apartments in popular tourist spots are available to rent year-round. Amenities vary depending on the property and the price, but often include multiple bedrooms, televisions and laundry facilities. The properties range from basic rentals to high-end luxury villas and houses. Contact the local Chamber of Commerce and real estate companies to find information on local rentals.
In addition, some homeowners offer their own homes up for rental. These accommodations range from apartments in large cities to seaside homes. Online community websites like VRBO and Airbnb help people looking for a place to connect with those renting their properties. Users pay a guest service fee in addition to the rent. Some cities prohibit this type of rental, so check with your selected city whether it is permissible where you are traveling.
Bed & Breakfasts (B&Bs)
These guest rooms offer a more intimate experience, as they are in small inns or residences and offer breakfast. Usually run by independent innkeepers, many B&Bs offer Internet, board games, fireplaces and unique accommodations, some in historic properties. If a private bath is important to you, ask beforehand as some B&Bs only offered shared bathrooms. If you have children, be sure to ask if the B&B can accommodate them and if they have activities for them as well. Some B&Bs may have a minimum-stay requirement, while others may have minimum-age restrictions, or not allow children at all. Check your local destination website for a listing of B&Bs.
