Charleston Wine + Food celebrates South Carolina’s renowned culinary scene. This annual festival showcases the Palmetto State’s top chefs, winemakers, authors, artisans and food enthusiasts. The festival consists of more than 100 events taking place in throughout the beautiful city of Charleston over five days in late February and early March. Participate in wine tastings, see cooking demonstrations and learn all about the art of cuisine in South Carolina. The euphoria festival was founded in 2006 by platinum-selling singer and songwriter Edwin McCain and restaurateur Carl Sobocinski with a mission to educate, entice, enlighten and entertain. The four-day affair in September includes tasting events, musical experiences, cooking demonstrations, wine seminars, multicourse dinners and live concerts. Expect to see award-winning chefs, master sommeliers and renowned musicians. This is the perfect event for lovers of good food, excellent wine and incredible music. To top it off, the local nonprofit community benefits from festival proceeds.

Famously Hot New Year, Columbia
Famously Hot New Year, South Carolina’s largest New Year’s Eve event, is a can’t-miss celebration in the heart of Columbia, the state’s capital. The beautiful city has a reputation for being “famously hot,” and this event celebrates that fact. Enjoy live music and an incredible fireworks display right in front of the South Carolina State House. The best part? Admission is free! The annual event takes place Dec. 31 in the heart of downtown Columbia, where there are many restaurants, so you can enjoy dinner along with a spectacular show.

Carolina Country Music Festival, Myrtle Beach
Every year, the Carolina Country Music Festival brings more than 30 of the industry’s biggest stars to the shores of Myrtle Beach. Enjoy scenic views of Myrtle Beach while watching headlining artists as well as up-and-coming musicians at this three-day festival in June.

Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival, Hilton Head Island
Since 2002, Hilton Head Island has been participating in Concours d’Elegance, an event that emerged in the USA more than 60 years ago. The festival offers a stage for the most elegant, immaculate and flawless of classic cars to compete for the coveted “Best of Show” title. The affair has expanded to include a Motoring Festival, the only one of its kind along the U.S. East Coast. Expect to see a unique variety of car displays and automotive-themed exhibits at Concours d’Elegance in late October and early November.
