A territory of the United States of America since 1917, the United States Virgin Islands—St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas—is an exotic group of islands located in the Caribbean. The flags of seven different nations have flown over these islands, leaving their diverse imprint in the people, history, culture, architecture, art, music, and cuisine.
